About the busy one

A few years up the very steep learning curve that is parenting…

As I lay staring at a newborn H on the maternity ward at 37 years old…I realised how much I had to learn. I’d never lifted a baby from a cot, never even held a baby for more than 5 minutes, never fed or winded a baby, let alone changed a nappy. And this was a journey I was taking alone. Scary…

A few years up the very steep learning curve that is parenting I am now a working mum in my 40’s with a beautiful young daughter and a passion to do everything I can to give her a happy and fulfilling life. It means that I am always busy…

Working, playing, planning, sliding, travelling, swinging, tidying, hiding, washing, dancing, mowing, colouring…and trying to squeeze in working out, eating well and occasionally socialising with friends.

But I’m not letting busy get in my way…I love being a parent and have found the whole experience incredible and life changing as well as extremely challenging (and that’s a polite way of saying it!). So I decided to record some of the amazing memories within this blog…from the simple day to day pleasures in life, my thoughts and fears as well as tips I’ve picked up along the way. We’ve all got our own stories to tell…and these are some of mine….

I hope you will enjoy reading! L x

P.s. Here’s a look at some of the other things that keep me busy…
